Author's Note: I think you can figure out where I'm borrowing the names from.
TL Note: Here the author is referencing Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, which is an American auto racing team. He originally had a note with a website but removed it.
"Commander Rahal! We've spotted several wagons and what appears to be adventurers ahead of us!"
A large man in his forties reported to him.
"A caravan of merchants?"
He asked back.
They didn't have time to waste dealing with merchants.
It had been two days since his master's son was supposed to return to his domain. There had been rumors of banditry in the area recently, but he had been too busy to investigate until now, which was unfortunate. Due to the large number of monsters that had appeared in the vicinity of their territory, they hadn't been able to investigate the roads.
However, he didn't expect the rumored bandits to mess with the Marquees family.
A letter demanding a ransom was delivered to the Marquise from a certain merchant. It seemed that the merchant also had all his goods robbed. He was probably lucky that he didn't lose his life in order to deliver the letter.
"If they're merchants, ignore them!"
That's what he ordered them to do.
"Oh, right now, a flag has been raised on the wagon! It's the Royal Army!"
"What? Send in the leading cavalryman!"
"Yes, sir! Roger that!"
A cavalryman rushed up to me.
"The Royal Army, I presume! I am Letterman, a cavalryman from the Marquees of Dixon's army, the Rahal Corps! I would like to speak with the representative of this Company!"
Patrick stepped forward and said – "Second Lieutenant Patrick Rigsby, from the 1st Army of the Royal Army! I'm in charge of this company!"
The man with short red hair and blue eyes, who introduced himself as Letterman, dismounted from his horse.
"Second Lieutenant Rigsby, what is the purpose of this force's deployment to this location?" - He asked me.
"I was on a military mission to clear the roads of filth when I came across the son of His Excellency the Marquess of Dixon captive at a bandit hideout! I'm on the way to escort him back to his domain. Please report to your commander."
"Is-Is this the truth!?"
"Yes, I'll take you there now. This way, please!"
Patrick guided him to the wagon where the three of them were riding.
"Over here! Sir Letterman. Please excuse me."
Patrick said as he opened the curtain of the wagon.
Of the three people in the wagon, Kevin said - "Letterman! All three of us are safe!" - and smiled…
"Ooh! Lord Kevin! Sir Carlos, Mark too! I'll report to the Commander immediately! Second Lieutenant Rigsby! Please excuse me. I will return with the commander and the troops immediately, so please stand-by here."
Letterman recognized all three faces, then turned to Patrick and bowed his head.
"I understand! Sir Letterman!"
Letterman hurriedly mounted his horse and rode back.
Author's Note: I'll have to add a Lanigan as well.
