After a night of sleeping leisurely in a bed at the mansion, I felt refreshed.
There was a big difference from sleeping in a tent or a wagon.
We even had breakfast, and the soldiers seemed satisfied.
"Then, Your Excellency the Marquees, Sir Kevin, we are returning to the Royal Capital."
After greetings, we departed for home.
The way back was mostly smooth, with only the occasional orc, so we proceeded without any problems. Unlike the way here, there were no bandits. That was because they were the only ones around here.
"The mission to sweep up the monsters and bandits has been completed without any problems."
Patrick reported to his boss.
The situation with Kevin was a confidential matter.
It was a matter of saving face for the Marquees family. The thank-you gold coin also included hush money – an unspoken agreement.
"Good work! I'll give you a couple of days off. Let the soldiers rest."

"It should have been decent, but the soldiers in Rigsby's platoon were incorporated immediately. I think Second Lieutenant Rigsby and Master Sergeant Wayne were especially good."
"Weeell, I guess there won't be any problems with His Highness' visit to the Marquees' Domain now."
"Yes, if His Highness hadn't insisted on going with such a small contingent, there would have been no need to sweep up."
"His Highness hates traveling with large groups of people for some reason."
